.summer love ♥

I love to longboard. One of my roomies freshman year was o-so-kind to teach me and from there on out, it has been a love. During the springs/summers I would venture to Provo Canyon or the Provo River Trail whenever I could, or the board would be my form of transportation to nearby places. Most of my longboard excursions happened to be with boys. (only reason being, of course, was that's who invited me the most often, haha) I happened to marry a boy that had never been or tried. So I have not been since. I never thought to ask if he would like to try or learn, because this said boy does not like to play on things that he doesn't have "complete control" over. But he surprised me one night by asking if I wanted to go! This is how it went down.

Boy- out of the blue- "You wanna go longboarding tonight?"
Girl- "Are you being serious?" (kind of sarcastic)
Boy- "Yis"
Girl- "But you said you didn't know how and I thought you didn't like to do stuff like that."
Boy- "I'm a fast learner."
Girl- "But you don't like to do stuff like that."
Boy- "Well you do, so I could learn." (how sweet is that)
Girl- silence...is he serious??? "k, Sweet, let's go"

Of course we didn't go that night. I only had one board and we couldn't borrow another one at that point, BUT we did borrow Seth's brother's the other week. Took them to AZ with us and road once at night and for Ellsworth Family Home Evening activity last night we went on the Provo River Trail for a bit!!!! (And he really is a quick learner) Oh it was love.....
I didn't ask how he liked but, but from the looks of his pic. I think he was enjoying himself.

*Yes you can scold me for being almost 6 months pregnant and riding those "dangerous things". I know, I know. BUT we weren't going that fast because Seth was learning, it was just a leisurely ride. We're wearing flip-flops. Who in their right mind would longboard crazily fast with flip-flops??? Let alone LEARN with them?? :)

half way

This is a 20 wk picture. I'm now officially 21 wks yesterday and boy is he a kicker/puncher when he's awake.

So I have been going kind of crazy looking at paint colors and blanket ideas and cribs and yadda yadda since finding out we're having a lil boy. It's fun, but I can't really start getting or painting until we move into our new place and I just want to do it all now! Patience is a virtue.
My other problem is narrowing it down to which look and which hue of color, there are just sooo many cute ideas and colors out there!

.people watching.

I'm a people watcher. Always have been. I would LOVE to go to New York, sit in Times Square and just watch people. They're interesting. They do the funniest things. You catch them in their most awkward moments when they think no one is watching. The worst is when you get caught watching them. Then comes the awkward, 'shift your eyes FAST, turn your head as casually and quickly as possible to make it look like you were actually looking at someone/something else' moment.

My favorite & quite possibly one of the top most immature things I have done is: I went on a group date in high school and we decided to go to the mall, put gum on the bottom of quarters, stick them on the ground and video tape people trying to pick them up, while we were incognito. It was hilarious. We just sat there and watched people, 1st- get excited cuz they found a quarter on the ground, 2nd- try to pick it up, 3rd- be disgusted and slightly embarrassed once they found there was gum and that they fell for a stupid trick.

Then just yesterday, I was sitting at a red light, watching the girl behind me in my rear view mirror. She was pouring the water out of her water bottle. Then she was just swinging it around, waiting for the light, when she dropped it. She instantly freaked out and started pounding on her steering wheel. Then I watched her debate whether to get out of her car and pick it up or not. It was quite comical, I could see her talking to herself about the debate.

So I wanna hear it. Don't be shy, I know you want to & I know you have funny, awkward moments of people watching & getting caught people watching......

a day at the memorial pool

On Friday afternoon I went with my bro and his family and my sis, to Veterans Memorial Pool. It's a fun little place with a big pool, two water slides, and a huge play thing in shallow water for little kids. We went mainly so we could take my two little nephews. I'm not too good with taking pictures when I do things anymore. I didn't even get a picture of the park! But here's a few that we took in between our partying in the pools.Brandon & Michael
Auntie Tori, (Coriann) & Jayce
Mohawk Jayce
The Wood Family
He looks cuter than I do, doing his favorite face, to say the least! ha

WE'RE HAVING A......

LIL GUY!!!!!!!!!

We're super excited:) Bring on the boy stuff. The ultrasound was amazing. He's a healthy lil mover. Didn't want to show us his profile or face really. He kept his hands up around his face. 20 more weeks to meet the lil fellow!!!!

.best surprise EVER.

Today is the day.
I have nothing else to do besides wait for the hour to come...so I decided to blog about it. Mainly because I can't take the excitement. I can't contain it. I feel like a 6 year old on Christmas morning waiting to look at the gifts under the tree. I usually have a hard time with surprises. It's a love/hate relationship. Meaning; if I know their coming, (which then wouldn't make it a surprise, now would it) I have been completely, out of no where surprised twice. Both were surprise birthday parties my roommates threw for me in college. And I LOVED it. But as far as gifts, when I was younger, and my mom knows this so I feel safe about posting it, I would search high and low to see if I could find whatever it was I was getting. TOTALLY ruins the fun. But I couldn't wait, I HAD to know! I wasn't successful all the time.

But this gift, the biggest surprise of all, that I KNOW is a surprise and can't do anything about, I can't take a sneak peak, I can't even try to devise a way to know or find out. So the minutes tick by slowly....

(and just a little side note, some know I originally did not want to find out; but I have some VERY persuasive sisters who hate surprises like that and a mother that thought it for my best on the first to know)

My Lil Fisherman

Seth LOVES to fish.
Seth loves to fly fish.

Janica enjoys fishing, every once in awhile.
Janica likes to sit on the bank and watch him while he fly fishes.
P.S. Thursday is the day where after 2:00 P.M, my eyes will be fixed on little girly clothes or little man clothes-
Let's hope the baby keeps his/her legs uncrossed so we can take a peak;)
