my very first time

making these!

I've always been way too chicken to try making cinnamon rolls. For some reason a couple nights ago, I wanted to try my hand at them. They're actually not too hard at all. I've still got to figure out all the tricks to make them SUPER yummy, but for my first time I think they turned out not too bad! I got the recipe from Liz Edmunds cookbook. LOVE her recipes. I made them twice in two days! I told Seth I might be addicted to making these to try and make them perfect. I'm pretty sure he's okay with that!

what's your bliss?

THIS photographer inspired me. I love LOVE her work, to the point where I think I'm a little obsessed with it. haha. She's one of my best friends, best friend, but also my friend :) A little while ago she posted about wanting her readers to email her their "Bliss List". So I read through what she had posted so far and it got me thinking about all the things that make me happy or 'blissful'. Reading what others wrote, I loved. SOOO.. I wanna know what things make YOU happy. simple or big. Give me your top five, or more:) For example, here are a few of mine...

.experiencing the miracle of life.

.walking barefooted on a beach.

.longboarding at dusk in summer.

.my hubby.

.being surrounded by family.

.'island' music.

.photography.

.huge gummy smiles from warren.

.burts bees chapstick.

.going through car washes.

Go ahead and leave them as comments, even if you have never commented on my blog before. don't be shy ;) It's fun to see what other things in life make people smile....and i really wanna know

trip home

Seth and I decided to take a last minute trip home to where I grew up in good ole Basin City, WA. It was tons of fun and I saw a few of my best friends! I didnt get any pictures with any of them though... We were there for about a week. Shanae and Aaron now live at our cabin and come home to our WA house for the weekends.
Our week was filled with going to the Country Mercantile, celebrating Kali's 4th B-day, Connell Eagles basketball games (where i went to high school), Shanae teaching me how to be a photographer;).. (Check out her work here!), and playing in the snow at the cabin. It was Seths first time ever riding a snowmobile, he loved it. I forgot how much of a workout it can be on your thumb! hah. I loved seeing everyone and especially spending time with Shanae's fam. I wish they lived closer. Here's a few pictures that I did take while we were there. (My Sis took the first two of Warren and our fam picture)

computer STOLEN! needing pictures of coriann

me and my lil sis, cori.

So my little sister, Coriann, had her laptop stolen out of her room Saturday when she was at her game. It's super sad and she' lost everything. It will be a little while before she's able to get a new computer. What I want to do is try to get back as many pictures as possible and hopefully more. I want to kind of do it as a surprise to give to her when she get's her new comp. So it will give you some time to gather some. I know everyone on here doesn't know her, but if you do and could find some.. any amount would be awesome. if you could let me know by leaving a comment on here, and we'll figure out a way to get in contact so that I can send you my email address. I'd rather not post it on here:) THANKS

She doesn't read my blog too often so it should be safe:) Haha.

i did it!

(*not taken last night)

Last night was Warren's first night in his crib! I tried two nights ago but was too tired to fuss with it. He kept waking up crying every 20 minutes. Last night wasn't as hard as I really thought it was going to be, so..

THANKS!...

For all your comments and advice. I considered all of them, but then decided I just needed to bite the bullet and get er done. He couldn't last in his bassinet any longer. (When he would wake up and kick his legs around, he would shake the whole thing!)

He did pretty good considering his first night. Slept for 4 1/2 hrs, then 3 hrs.
Just as I thought, I didn't sleep too well, I just laid there listening to the monitor for any kind of sound. I'm kind of a scaredy-cat when it comes to the dark, and I felt bad I was leaving him all alone in a big ole room. haha. I know he doesn't care at all, it's just me and my mind. I know it will get better.
I came in at one point and he had one hand wrapped around on of the rails. Cutest thing ever, wish I could have taken a pic.

advice or comments needed

Ever since Warren has been home from the hospital he has slept in a bassinet RIGHT by my bed. I am now running into a problem, which can be solved, I just don't know if I want to solve it right now.

He's getting too big for his bassinet. (Now I'm sure you all will now think, "then put him in his crib") That's the problem, I CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO DO IT!!! I don't know if it's just that I'm scared to have him in a completely different room, or I'm just being selfish and want him by me all the time. ha. (I have other reasons, but they're too embarrassing to post, so I won't) But I really am having a hard time bringing myself to want to do it at night. I know it needs to happen sooner or later so that he doesn't get too dependent, but anyone else have trouble with wanting to put their baby in a completely different room at night? And if so, how did you get over it? I know if I just do it, I'll have to get over it anyway, but a little pep-talking never hurt anyone :)
