Today is the day.
I have nothing else to do besides wait for the hour to come...so I decided to blog about it. Mainly because I can't take the excitement. I can't contain it. I feel like a 6 year old on Christmas morning waiting to look at the gifts under the tree. I usually have a hard time with surprises. It's a love/hate relationship. Meaning; if I know their coming, (which then wouldn't make it a surprise, now would it) I have been completely, out of no where surprised twice. Both were surprise birthday parties my roommates threw for me in college. And I LOVED it. But as far as gifts, when I was younger, and my mom knows this so I feel safe about posting it, I would search high and low to see if I could find whatever it was I was getting. TOTALLY ruins the fun. But I couldn't wait, I HAD to know! I wasn't successful all the time.
But this gift, the biggest surprise of all, that I KNOW is a surprise and can't do anything about, I can't take a sneak peak, I can't even try to devise a way to know or find out. So the minutes tick by slowly....
(and just a little side note, some know I originally did not want to find out; but I have some VERY persuasive sisters who hate surprises like that and a mother that thought it for my best on the first to know)

My Lil Fisherman
Seth LOVES to fish.
Seth loves to fly fish.

Janica enjoys fishing, every once in awhile.
Janica likes to sit on the bank and watch him while he fly fishes.
P.S. Thursday is the day where after 2:00 P.M, my eyes will be fixed on little girly clothes or little man clothes-
Let's hope the baby keeps his/her legs uncrossed so we can take a peak;)

IT'S FREEDOM
at last!
So this morning was VERY monumental for me. I got the club OFF! When I first got it put on it was kind of my 'security blanket' whenever I had it off I thought I was going to re-brake my bone. But the last week has been torture (and hopefully my doc isn't a blogger and sees this) but I tried to find things to do that consisted of me NOT having to wear it. (ie- taking LONG showers, swimming & laying by the pool, dishes, etc.) Anything that had to do with water. Sometimes I would make excuses that sounded justifiable enough :) It's been about 2 ish months since I broke it and now I can somewhat use it. I still have to keep it taped. But oh the Glorious feeling of not having fiberglass, cotton, and ace bandage wrapped around my hand. Here's a picture in memory of 'the club'.
Since my post title has freedom in it, 2 shout outs for the 4th this Sat!

.country livin'.
We've come home twice in the last month. I love it. I love the quietness, where all you can hear are the birds chirping. I love the farmland and openness and hardly any traffic besides the farmers driving too and from fields and home. I miss living in the country.
My mom and I went on a walk in the afternoons, one of them I decided to bring the camera and snap a few shots!
The ditch we used to swim in, in front of our house
Bing Cherries from our orchard around our house
Rainier Cherries from the orchard
cows
Filbert rd. with a lil bit of belly action:)
Our house is where the trees in the middle of the pic are.

The lil lane to our house.

Don't Give Up
because, You are LOOOVVEDD...
-Josh Groban.
My mom listened to him a lot while I was in high school and I somewhat got into him. I liked his stuff a lot but it wasn't the first thing I would pop into the CD player while driving places.
Seth LOVES Josh Groban and LOVES to sing at the top of his lungs to his music. He knows every song, every word. So it was inevitable that I would begin to really like him. (Josh Groban that is... :) When we were first dating, that's all we really listened to in his car, and on occasion Rascal Flatts. He loves to blare both. When I first officially met him that's what he and his roommates were blasting from their house across the street. Seth says he can't wait to move to our own house where he can play his music loud and sing even louder. He has an awesome voice I might add and it almost sounds better, louder ;) jk..
The point to my post. My favorite song of his, is Don't Give Up. I just really love the arrangement. (and now the lyrics) You know when you listen to a sing and you know all the words because you listened to it for so long, but when someone was to ask you what is was about, you wouldnt really know because you hadn't paid attention to the words? Well ya, that's kind of what it was to me. UNTIL (and it HAD to be this time) on the way to the temple in Seth's car to get married. I of course was on an extreme case of nerves, the night before I couldnt find the necessary papers that I needed. I swore I hadn't gotten them back from the temple when I first went. Long story short, I frantically called my bishop at MIDNIGHT wondering what to do. After I hung up I found them, right where they should have been, in my bag :)
So on the way to the temple, that song started playing and I started to really listen to the words, because of some things I was told that night before about someone really close to me, and I started bawling. On my way to get married I should be excited and happy, I was nervous and crying ruining my make up, ha. Besides that fact, this song has some really good lyrics that can keep ya going when things get tough. Don't give up, you are loved.
I was playing it on the piano this morning and wanted to share it, so here ya go.

trying
to become mommy
growing a baby.....Check

(About 16 1/2 weeks. Really just looks like I ate too much)
Start to make homeade jam....check

Have dinner ready every night, trying new recipes....check

(Turkey White Chili)
The farther and farther along I get, the more and more worried I get that I will be a bummer mom and wont know how to make or do anything. My mom taught me lots of good things, but putting them into action has been the problemo. This last week I've tried to make dinners instead of just pancakes or nothing at all for dinner and did some crafty things and made strawberry jam. I guess it helps me feel more mommy-esk. Bring on the baby!
Anyone have a great recipe for meat loaf?:)

Baby Bump
... + stitches....
(I"ll post the stitches pic last for those who would like to skip seeing it)
I've felt as though people thought I was just eating too much, but within the last few days have had people ask if I was expecting.. Booya! It's not just a pooch. It's the beginning of my lil Baby Bump....
This is my rainbow that I found my *pot of gold at the end of about a week ago...
*No more sickness for me!
(I took this pic on the drive back to utah from WA)
AND... My stitches. I can take my club (Splint) off now, to exercise my fingers. It's the best part of my day.
