.country livin'.

We've come home twice in the last month. I love it. I love the quietness, where all you can hear are the birds chirping. I love the farmland and openness and hardly any traffic besides the farmers driving too and from fields and home. I miss living in the country.

My mom and I went on a walk in the afternoons, one of them I decided to bring the camera and snap a few shots!

Don't Give Up

because, You are LOOOVVEDD...

-Josh Groban.

My mom listened to him a lot while I was in high school and I somewhat got into him. I liked his stuff a lot but it wasn't the first thing I would pop into the CD player while driving places.

Seth LOVES Josh Groban and LOVES to sing at the top of his lungs to his music. He knows every song, every word. So it was inevitable that I would begin to really like him. (Josh Groban that is... :) When we were first dating, that's all we really listened to in his car, and on occasion Rascal Flatts. He loves to blare both. When I first officially met him that's what he and his roommates were blasting from their house across the street. Seth says he can't wait to move to our own house where he can play his music loud and sing even louder. He has an awesome voice I might add and it almost sounds better, louder ;) jk..

The point to my post. My favorite song of his, is Don't Give Up. I just really love the arrangement. (and now the lyrics) You know when you listen to a sing and you know all the words because you listened to it for so long, but when someone was to ask you what is was about, you wouldnt really know because you hadn't paid attention to the words? Well ya, that's kind of what it was to me. UNTIL (and it HAD to be this time) on the way to the temple in Seth's car to get married. I of course was on an extreme case of nerves, the night before I couldnt find the necessary papers that I needed. I swore I hadn't gotten them back from the temple when I first went. Long story short, I frantically called my bishop at MIDNIGHT wondering what to do. After I hung up I found them, right where they should have been, in my bag :)

So on the way to the temple, that song started playing and I started to really listen to the words, because of some things I was told that night before about someone really close to me, and I started bawling. On my way to get married I should be excited and happy, I was nervous and crying ruining my make up, ha. Besides that fact, this song has some really good lyrics that can keep ya going when things get tough. Don't give up, you are loved.

I was playing it on the piano this morning and wanted to share it, so here ya go.

trying

to become mommy

growing a baby.....Check

(About 16 1/2 weeks. Really just looks like I ate too much)

Start to make homeade jam....check

Have dinner ready every night, trying new recipes....check

(Turkey White Chili)

The farther and farther along I get, the more and more worried I get that I will be a bummer mom and wont know how to make or do anything. My mom taught me lots of good things, but putting them into action has been the problemo. This last week I've tried to make dinners instead of just pancakes or nothing at all for dinner and did some crafty things and made strawberry jam. I guess it helps me feel more mommy-esk. Bring on the baby!
Anyone have a great recipe for meat loaf?:)

Numb

They had an opening for surgery today so I took it. Doc was going to put a plate in but I guess decided to just put 3 screws in. I had no idea till we got home and seth told me. Is it bad to say i love the feeling of being put out for surgery. I was only put to sleep on the littlest amount to protect baby. Everything went well. They checked the heart beat before and after. It was just a little slower after because it feeling the meds and waking up along with. Then he just numbed my whole hand, which is still numb. Im in a sling for a couple days then just in the hard splint for a month. so much for being right-handed this month:) (i'm typing this all with my left and it's taking forever!!

This pic is backwards. Should be my right hand ring finger.

Seth was such an awesome help after. He took me straight home so I didnt have to sit in the car while he got my meds. He asked me what I wanted to eat and all i could think of was hot pockets. (Thanks Katie:)) So he got it all then brought me everything so i could lay down and sleep and get over the dizziness. love him.

My sis in law made us a yummy dinner and my lil sis brought me my fav flowers.

i love my fam.

There's a 1st...

for Everything.

I have never broken a bone.

I broke my right hand ring finger metacarpal bone. I was playing softball 4 weeks ago and was diving for a ball to grab it and toss it at the same time to try and get someone out at home. I thought I just jammed my finger really low so I went two weeks with it still hurting and bruised. Finally I went to the doc's PA to see what's up. Doc didnt want to X-ray cuz being preg. So he put me in a splint and told me to call back if it still hurt. Well it still hurt, so I went back in and saw the real Doc. He lead me up and took some X-rays. The nurse came in and all she said was, it's broke, what color do you want for your cast. She left, came back in, and said... JK... it's too broken to cast it so doc is sending you to a specialist. Went to a specialist, he looked at it... surgery on Monday. BLAH- No contact sports for 6-8 weeks. The X-ray is pretty cool so I'll show ya a pic.

You can see the diagonal break on my ring finger near the bottom.
p.s. I didn't get the girl out at home.

Where the Palm Trees Sway...

The last morning we were there, I wanted Shanae to take some pictures on the beach. Here are just a few. We were in Hawaii for a week and it was amazing! I loved seeing Shanae, Aaron and the kids! I'll post our adventures later!
