i love surprises

I meant to post this a while ago, but one day randomly my mom walked down the stairs and says "You have a surprise..." I turn around to see her holding these flowers. I was seriously so confused as to who they were from.

They were from my dadddy :) Now this was a HUGE surprise. Of course I know my Dad loves me and he tells me he does, but for him to do something like this was monumental :) It was the most touching thing to me and I needed it that day. I love you dad!

the big 2!!

I'm so behind on blogging, but that's alright.
Our little monkey is now 2 YEARS OLD! It's so crazy. Every day he seems to get bigger, smarter, faster, and naughtier. Ok, oK, He's actually a pretty good little boy, but he has his days, oh he has his days... :) His birthday was November 23rd. Thanksgiving night we were planning on having a huge celebration for all the birthdays in my Wood family that were that week, so we did all his cake and presents then. I let him open one present that morning and that night I picked up a doughnut so he could blow out candles on his real birthday.

We started out the day by wanting to go to this bounce house especially for kids called Monkey something and come to find out it was out of business :( I was so excited for Warren to play there, so it was sad finding that out. We opted for McDonald's play place. Definitely not the next best thing but the next closest thing. We were on a time crunch for getting home for naps and didn't have time to drive else where. I hadn't been there in who knows how long and it will probably be who knows how long before going back, but I do love me some McFlurry;)  The kids (Warren and Shanae's oldest two) had fun, and Warren got to experience his first happy meal. He was pretty happy about it and never smiled for the camera because his mouth was always full :)

It was so fun watching him blow out the candles, he loved it and was so pleased with himself as you can tell in the last pic :)

And this year he got the memo that you're supposed to go face first in your birthday cake and dig in!

Happy 2 years my little man! You never cease to amaze me!

picnic at the lake

A few months ago we went up to Tibble Fork to have a little FHE picnic. It didn't last long, Warren just wanted to jump in the water and it wasn't that warm out, so he started having a little break down and we went home soon after :) It was a fun little night out with our little family, though.

His eyes are half closed in the shot with seth, hence the funny look.

corn picking

one of the MANY great things about growing up out in the country is being able to go pick your own produce for dinner :) Our first night home, we went out with grandpa and picked some corn.

horseys

On Sunday afternoons we like to go on a little walk to go see the horseys. Warren loves seeing them and wants to get in there with and ride them :) Someday he'll get a chance to ride a horse, but for now he rides on daddy's shoulders.

They spotted a plane

kisses and hugs for daddy's head :)

holding mommy and daddy's hand while walking home.

friday night fun!

Last Friday we went to Cornbelly's with some friends from our ward. It was such a fun little place for the little kidlets :) We of course got pictures on the big rocking chair. Warren wasn't too thrilled getting his picture with his momma and daddy. I think they both loved the bounce houses and the big bounce pad things the best.

They both were fans of the tire horsey swings.

Kelsi was loving the little slide.

This was one thing I wish I could have done. It looked so fun! But I opted out, didn't think it would be too good with the pregnant belly going on, bouncing up and down.

we went on the cow train ride

Duck races!

We tired the little ones out pretty good. Warren was ready to zonk out right when we got home.
