good friends in small, far away places

Our trip to WA a couple weeks ago turned from a weekend into a week in a half in the last 10 minutes right before we headed out the door. I was already packed for the week and a half though:) An old college roommate of mine lives in ID, but only 2 hours away from my hometown in WA. We decided to meet in the middle in a random tiny little town at a park. It was a pretty good sized park for such a little place. (It is bigger than my hometown so I guess it was pretty big;) ) haha.

The drive there was gorgeous, but A LOT of the same:)  Everyone has their own gorgeous, come on now, I grew up on a farm;)

(finally caught his fish face!)

It was soo fun to see Katie and meet her little one. He's soo close to walking!! He can take two or three steps. (Probably more, now!) Warren and Lincoln were born 3 days apart. Lincoln was 2 weeks late and Warren was 1 week early. They had fun tackling each other and climbing over each other while Katie and I chatted it up.

Can't wait to see you two again!! Oh and Tyler you can come next time if you want.

it's in the air

I meant to post this a while ago, but then I forgot about it. FOOTBALL SEASON!!! Specifically BYU football. My big bro scored us some free tickets so we couldnt turn it down. (Thanks again!!!) I miss campus and getting all-sports passes.
I have a love/hate relationship with fall. I love love LOVE summer. I love the warmth and being outside and not having to put on layers to stay warm. I get cold easier than the normal person, I think.

BUT

I love the Fall. I love the crispness of air, the football galore, the atmosphere of football (I miss high school football games, too), the colors, the pumpkin spice smells, the holidays that come along with it, wearing hoodies and sweats, and on and on.

I DO NOT like the winter.

That's where the hate of fall comes in. It leads to winter. I think it's just the cold and having to get places in the snow that makes it this way. I think the only two things I like about winter are basketball season starts and Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I do LOVE to ski, snowboard, snowmobile...I really really just do not like the cold. I think I have SADS (seasonal affective disorder) I hate being cooped up inside all day and not seeing the sun shining bright. If the snow stayed in the mountains to go visit to and the sun played here in the valley, I would live in the perfect place.
On to the point of the post ;)
BYU FOOTBALL..

sigh.......

My bro bleeds blue.

At half time they recognized all the All-American quarterbacks from BYU.

proof

Everyone says Warren looks JUST LIKE Seth. I do agree that right now he probably looks a lot like Seth, so when I went home I dug through some of my baby pictures to see if I can claim any looks in Warren. I mean I did carry & give birth to the lil guy, can't he at least have a little me in him?! I found the perfect picture! I was pleased to say the least:) Now, even when everyone says Warren looks JUST LIKE Seth, I know in my heart that he has some of me in him, too :)

I just did this one on photo booth to show a picture of seth and warren. ignore my overly cheesy grin. I was trying to make the lil man smile. Didn't work too well, he wouldnt sit still!!

walk in the woods

While being home in WA, Seth and I went up to the cabin to stay with Shanae and Aaron for a few days. I love our cabin, so peaceful and calm. There's just something about being surrounded by nature. There is a camping site right next to the lake- it's a fun little walk, well okay more like an hour and a half little walk but that's only if you walk ALL the way around the lake, which we did- and I enjoyed it. Here's what it looked like...

My cute boys

Krew was showing me his superman moves and Kali was telling me how she wanted to fly. "For reals, like in real life, I wanna fly."

One of the cabins had this cute little stand out in front, perfect for a picture opp :)

9 months and going strong

Warren had his 9 mth check up a couple days ago. He's still as healthy as an ox! We couldn't feel more blessed that this little man came to us and is here to stay AND in perfect health. He's such a happy little booger. Keeping my fingers crossed that our next one will be just as easy! (don't read into that, I'm NOT pregnant) :)
He's now standing up against everything and always trying to climb up my legs for me to pick him up. He's still taking three naps a day, each at the least 1 hr., usually always more. Is that normal?! Lil man ren is crawling like crazy, it's more of a one knee, push with the other foot crawl and get's a little crazy looking when he get's excited, but still super cute.
He's almost got four teeth all the way in. I was trying to get him to show me them...

There they are!

He's my little shopping buddy and he's getting better and better about liking sitting in the cart. Usually he tries to pull himself out and tries to flip around, or maybe our last trip was a fluke ;) Hopefully when he gets older he'll still love to be mommas side kick.

I should make seth 'guest post' on here. haha. My poor hubby doesnt get mentioned much on here. He's still my number 1, but he's not around all day for me to follow with my camera :) I snuck (is snuck really not a word? sad..) this one in while he was finishing some work after coming home.

I'm sad Summer is leaving us all behind, actually really sad... I did buy some spray that smells fallish/holidayish yesterday and it kind of made me happy. But I don't really wanna be happy about it just yet... I may just have to hide it for another month
