ren's stats

Warren's 4 Month Stats:

Height: 27 in. (97 %)
Weight: 16 lbs 10 oz. (75 %)
Head: Big. (95 %)

Ren can officially roll over from front to back and back to front. He did it from his back to stomach for the first time on Sunday! He was close before but couldn't quite get over his arm/shoulder.
He loves getting his diaper changed and laughs and smiles the whole time while going 100 miles an hour with his arms and legs, making it hard to get a new one on.
Still manages to blow out at least 1 outfit a day :) He's quite talented...

His favorite thing lately is grabbing his toes while he's on his back and then letting himself flop over on his side.

He likes his toes.. and so do I :)

Why do they grow up sooo. stinkin. fast?!

Easters

HAPPY EASTER!

I love this time of year. General Conference and Easter. Special time to reflect on Jesus Christ. He lives and is Risen! I was reading through a book with Warren today that my mom gave us for Easter, called 'Easter Walk'. It's about two kids whose mom passed away. Every year their grandpa takes them on an Easter Walk where he reads scriptures and they have to find something that represents that scripture. They go through the story of Christs death and resurrection. At on part the grandpa says, "No one had the power to take the Savior's life because He was the Son of God. He gave his life willingly for us." That really hit me. No one had the power, so it was completely 100% His will. I knew that, but reading it that way just filled my mind with light! I am so grateful for what Christ did for us that we may live with him again and our families!
AND I can't wait for the Conference talks to come out in print to reread. I need to be a better mommy already with teaching my lil man about the Savior.

Yesterday when Seth and Brandon were gone for their session, Veronica and I had to keep the kiddos entertained. so... we dyed eggs!!! I wasnt thinking cuz I didn't get the easiest and cleanest packet. It was this tye dye kind that you had to put droplets in bags and rub it around. Ya, well, the boys got more of it on their hands than on the eggs I think. They colored about 4 then were done. So I got to color the rest:) Needless to say it was fun to watch, but next year we'll opt for just dipping the eggs!

fun in the sun- AZ ☀

Monday night, Seth, my mom, Warren, and I drove to Arizona. We were originally just going to go down on Friday to surprise my mom-in-law for her birthday, but my sis ended up having a game at ASU on Tuesday so we made it a week trip! The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! We hung out with Seth's fam, and it was a blast. I really didn't want to come home, but throwing off a babies schedule can really take a toll on the momma, so it's nice to be home, but I miss them already. There are 8 nieces and nephews from Seth's two sisters all under 11. They're all so fun and cute:) It was fun to see them with their cousin Warren. Seth and I usually have never really taken pictures when we go down there to visit, so I went a little camera crazy, so I'll only share a few! But it was fun following them around and taking pictures.

Get ready for picture overload!

my boys

daddy and son.

I have a feeling lil Ren is gonna be just like daddy. He'll definitely be a mommas boy:), but also just like daddy. He LOOKS just like daddy. I get it everytime someone sees him.
"Oh wow, Seth's eyes."
"yip he looks JUST like Seth!"
"I can see a little bit of you in him, but DEFINITELY Seth." (I can NEVER spell definitely right for the life of me. Thank goodness for the little red lines that tell you it's spelled wrong)

He's got Seth's tender heart. (Not that I don't have a tender heart, but..) As I've been told, Seth would get pouty lips and cry when someone else was crying. *When he was a baby* A while ago we were going through sounds and videos of Warren that we have been recording, while he was laying right next to us. We started to play his own cry and he then got this HUGE pout lip and started blinking fast and sadly.
Yesterday I was playing with him on his changing table, and making sounds, that would be embarrassing if someone heard not knowing I was playing with a baby, and then I starting making a sound that apparently to him sounded as though someone was crying. He immediately got a pouty lip and blinked his eyes fast a few times and tears welled up and he started to cry. I felt SOOOO bad, but at the same time thought it was the cutest thing. So of course I picked him up and snuggled him.
So this morning after he woke up and was playing with me on the bed in his room, I just wanted to see if it was just cuz he was hungry yesterday or if he's really just tender hearted. Yup. In the middle of me giggling, I did a pouty face of my own with just a little sob and while smiling, tears welled up, then the pout. I then made him laugh right away. How mean am I?! I won't do it anymore I promise.

He sleeps just like Seth. He's a mover. I put the little man down vertical to the rails and come morning, he's horizontal. Sometimes completing a 180.

He slobers, just like Seth.. jk.. but he has become quite the slobber king.

He's a happy little boy and I can get him to smile almost whenever I want. Besides outside when it's bright and the wind is blowing. It distracts him.
